The main draw is Lara Beach, a broad stretch of sand backed in places by beach clubs, promenades and large hotels. Many holidays here are based around all-inclusive resorts, particularly in the Kundu area, where hotels often have extensive pools, restaurants, spas and entertainment programmes. The atmosphere is relaxed and polished rather than traditional village-like, so Lara suits travellers who enjoy spending much of their time around the hotel and beach, with the option to dip into Antalya when they want more variety.

Eating and drinking in Lara is a mix of hotel dining, seafront venues, casual Turkish restaurants and international options. You can find familiar resort favourites, but it is also worth trying Turkish grills, meze, pide and fresh seafood. Evenings are generally centred on hotel bars and entertainment, with some beach clubs and lounges operating seasonally. For a livelier night out or a more atmospheric setting, Antalya’s old town, Kaleiçi, is within easy reach by taxi or public transport.

There are several worthwhile places to visit nearby. The Lower Düden Waterfalls are one of the closest natural sights, where the river drops dramatically into the sea. Antalya city offers harbour views, narrow old-town streets, shops, restaurants and the well-regarded Antalya Museum. If you are interested in history, day trips to ancient sites such as Perge and Aspendos are popular from the resort.

Lara works especially well for couples, families and groups looking for a convenient beach holiday with a wide choice of hotels and easy access to Antalya’s attractions. It is less suited to travellers seeking a quiet, undeveloped coastal village, but for comfort, beach time and straightforward holiday planning, it is one of the Antalya region’s most practical resort bases.
