Lara Beach is one of Antalya’s best-known holiday resorts, set along the Mediterranean coast just east of the city. It is a good choice if you want an easy beach holiday with plenty of hotel facilities, a straightforward transfer from Antalya Airport and the option to dip into the city for sightseeing or shopping.

The resort is centred on a long stretch of sand and shingle beach backed by large, resort-style hotels. Many of the hotels are all-inclusive and have their own beach areas, pools, restaurants and entertainment, so Lara Beach often suits travellers who like a relaxed, self-contained holiday base. The sea is usually the main draw, with plenty of space for sunbathing in season and a range of water sports available from local operators at busier times of year.

Lara Beach has a modern, purpose-built feel rather than an old-town atmosphere. Along the main roads and near the hotel zones you will find restaurants, cafés, shops and bars, although the dining and nightlife scene is generally more hotel-led than in central Antalya. Evenings tend to be lively within the larger hotels, with shows, music and family-friendly entertainment, while those looking for a wider choice of bars, harbour restaurants and late-night venues can head into Antalya.

One of Lara Beach’s biggest advantages is its location. Antalya’s historic Kaleiçi old town, marina, Hadrian’s Gate and shopping streets are within easy reach by taxi or local transport, making day trips simple. The Lower Düden Waterfalls, where the river drops into the sea, are also nearby and are a popular short outing. For a longer day out, travellers often visit ancient sites such as Perge or Aspendos, or take boat trips along the coast.

Lara Beach works particularly well for couples, families and groups who want sunshine, sea and a comfortable hotel-based stay without being far from Antalya’s attractions. It is less suited to those seeking a traditional village setting, but for a convenient Mediterranean resort with a long beach and easy access to the city, it is a very practical choice.
