It is a good time to wander, stop for a coffee and get a feel for local life. Felanitx also sits in one of Majorca’s wine-growing areas, so countryside drives, vineyard visits and relaxed meals featuring Mallorcan cooking are part of the appeal.

For sightseeing, the hilltop Santuari de Sant Salvador is one of the area’s standout places to visit. The road climbs above Felanitx to a peaceful sanctuary with wide views across the island and towards the coast. Nearby Castell de Santueri, a ruined fortress on a rocky outcrop, is another worthwhile stop for those interested in history and scenery.

Evenings in Felanitx are low-key. You will find local bars, cafés and restaurants rather than late-night clubs, which suits couples, independent travellers and anyone looking for a quieter Majorcan holiday. The surrounding area is also popular with walkers and cyclists, particularly outside the hottest months, thanks to its rural lanes and varied landscapes.
