Puerto De Alcudia is one of Majorca’s best-known beach resorts, set on the island’s north coast beside the wide sweep of Alcudia Bay. Evenings are sociable rather than wild, with cocktail bars, music bars and relaxed terraces, but Puerto De Alcudia is not a major clubbing destination.

There is plenty to do beyond the beach. Boat trips run from the port, including cruises around the bay and along the rugged northern coastline. Alcudia Old Town is a short journey inland and is worth visiting for its medieval walls, narrow streets, market atmosphere and historic character. Nature lovers can explore S’Albufera Natural Park, an important wetland area just south of the resort, known for birdwatching and peaceful walking trails. The area is also popular with cyclists, particularly outside the hottest summer months, thanks to its flatter coastal routes and access to more challenging inland roads.
