About Puerto De Alcudia holidays

Puerto De Alcudia is one of Majorca’s best-known beach resorts, set on the island’s north coast beside the wide sweep of Alcudia Bay. It has a relaxed, easy-going feel, with a long sandy beach, a smart marina and plenty of places to eat and drink without the pace feeling overwhelming. The resort is especially popular with UK holidaymakers looking for a straightforward sun holiday with good facilities and a scenic setting.

The beach is the main draw. It stretches for several kilometres, with soft pale sand and generally shallow, clear water close to the shore, making it well suited to swimming and paddling. Along parts of the seafront you’ll find sunbeds, watersports, beach bars and a promenade for gentle walks. The bay’s size means it is usually possible to find a quieter spot by walking a little further along the sand.

Around the marina and main resort area, there is a good choice of restaurants, from casual cafés and tapas spots to international menus aimed at holiday visitors. Seafood is a natural highlight, particularly around the harbour, while family-friendly dining is easy to find throughout the resort. Evenings are sociable rather than wild, with cocktail bars, music bars and relaxed terraces, but Puerto De Alcudia is not a major clubbing destination.

There is plenty to do beyond the beach. Boat trips run from the port, including cruises around the bay and along the rugged northern coastline. Alcudia Old Town is a short journey inland and is worth visiting for its medieval walls, narrow streets, market atmosphere and historic character. Nature lovers can explore S’Albufera Natural Park, an important wetland area just south of the resort, known for birdwatching and peaceful walking trails. The area is also popular with cyclists, particularly outside the hottest summer months, thanks to its flatter coastal routes and access to more challenging inland roads.

Puerto De Alcudia suits couples, families and groups who want a well-equipped Majorcan resort with a superb beach, a good dining scene and easy access to some of the north of the island’s most interesting places.
