Los Cristianos is one of Tenerife’s best-known holiday resorts, set on the sunny south coast of the island. The resort’s main beach, Playa de Los Cristianos, sits beside the harbour and is a sheltered spot for swimming and sunbathing. Just along the coast, Playa de Las Vistas offers a wider sweep of golden sand and calm water, with a promenade that links Los Cristianos with Las Américas and Costa Adeje. This seafront walkway is one of the resort’s biggest draws, ideal for a gentle stroll, a coffee stop or an evening meal overlooking the Atlantic.

Los Cristianos has a broad restaurant scene, from Canarian dishes and fresh seafood to British favourites, tapas bars, Italian restaurants and casual cafés. Around the harbour and old town streets, you’ll find a slightly more traditional atmosphere, while the promenade and resort centre offer plenty of easy holiday dining. Nightlife is generally sociable rather than full-on, with bars, live music, quiz nights and sports bars, making it a good option for couples, groups and older travellers who want evenings out without an intense clubbing scene.

There is plenty to do beyond the beach. The harbour is a departure point for ferries to La Gomera and boat trips along the south coast, including whale and dolphin watching excursions. Nearby, you can explore the shops and bars of Playa de las Américas, visit Siam Park in Costa Adeje, or book island tours to Mount Teide National Park. Los Cristianos is also a convenient base for hiring a car or joining organised trips, while still offering all the essentials of a classic Tenerife resort holiday close to your accommodation.
