Malgrat is also useful as a base for exploring. The coastal train makes Barcelona an achievable day trip, while Blanes, Tossa de Mar and other nearby resorts offer harbours, coves and historic streets. In season, boat trips may run along the coast, offering a scenic way to see more of the area.
