About Kusadasi holidays

Kusadasi is a lively Aegean resort with a working harbour, a modern marina and an easy-going holiday feel. It suits travellers who want a mix of beach time, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing rather than a quiet, remote escape. The seafront is a good place to start, with cafés, bars and views across the water, while the compact centre has bazaars, small shops and plenty of places to eat.

Beaches are a key part of a Kusadasi holiday. Ladies Beach is one of the best-known spots, with a long promenade lined with restaurants and cafés, plus sunbeds and watersports in season. Long Beach, south of the centre, offers a wider stretch of sand and is popular with visitors staying in the larger hotel areas. There are also smaller bays and beach clubs around the coast, so it is worth exploring if you prefer somewhere a little more relaxed.

Food is another highlight. You will find Turkish grills, meze restaurants, seafood places and casual international options, especially around the marina, harbour and old town streets. Evenings can be as low-key or as lively as you like. The centre has cocktail bars, music bars and late-night venues, but there are also quieter waterfront spots for a relaxed meal and a drink.

Kusadasi is also well placed for days out. Pigeon Island, linked to the mainland by a causeway, is a pleasant place for a walk and has coastal views from its fortress area. The ancient city of Ephesus is one of the major draws of this part of Turkey and is an easy excursion from the resort. Many visitors also combine it with the House of the Virgin Mary, Selçuk or the village of Şirince. For nature, boat trips and visits towards the Dilek Peninsula-Büyük Menderes Delta National Park offer a change from the busy resort centre.

With its beaches, harbour setting, varied restaurants and access to some of Turkey’s best-known historic sights, Kusadasi works well for a flexible Aegean holiday.
