About Cala Llonga holidays

Cala Llonga is a relaxed beach resort on Ibiza’s east coast, set around a deep, sheltered bay between Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia. It has a very different feel from the island’s busier party resorts, with a calm, easy-going atmosphere that suits couples, families and anyone looking for a quieter base by the sea.

The main beach is the focus of the resort. It is a wide curve of pale sand backed by low-rise hotels, apartments, cafés and shops, with wooded hills rising on both sides of the bay. The water is usually calm thanks to the shape of the cove, and the gently shelving shore makes it a popular choice for swimming and paddling. In the main holiday season you can normally find sunbeds, parasols and water-based activities, while the promenade area keeps everything close at hand.

Cala Llonga’s centre is compact and easy to get around on foot. Restaurants and bars are generally casual, with a mix of Spanish, Mediterranean and international menus. Evenings tend to be sociable rather than lively, with a handful of friendly bars, hotel entertainment and places for a relaxed drink. If you want major clubs or a wider choice of late-night venues, Ibiza Town is within reach by road, but Cala Llonga itself is better suited to low-key nights.

There are several simple ways to explore beyond the resort. Santa Eulalia is close by for its marina, seafront promenade and broader dining scene, while Ibiza Town offers the historic Dalt Vila, harbour and boutiques. In summer, boat services often link Cala Llonga with nearby coastal towns, which can be a scenic alternative to travelling by road. Walkers can also enjoy short routes and viewpoints around the pine-covered headlands, although some paths are steep and best tackled with sensible footwear.

Holidays in Cala Llonga are best for travellers who want a scenic cove, convenient resort facilities and a quieter side of Ibiza, while still being close enough to explore the island’s towns, markets and coastline.
