San Antonio Bay Holidays

San Antonio Bay is a relaxed resort area on Ibiza’s west coast, set around the sheltered bay just south of San Antonio town. It suits holidaymakers who want easy access to Ibiza’s famous sunsets, beach days and a good choice of places to eat and drink, but with a slightly calmer feel than staying right in the centre of San Antonio.

The resort is spread along the waterfront, with a mix of sandy beach sections, small coves, hotels, apartments, bars and restaurants. Popular spots around the bay include Es Puet, S’Estanyol, Punta Pinet and Port des Torrent, where the water is generally calm and inviting for swimming. Many visitors spend their days moving between the beach, a pool terrace and the seafront promenade, with sunset views across the bay a big part of the appeal.

Eating out is easy, with plenty of casual restaurants serving Mediterranean dishes, seafood, tapas, pizza, grills and familiar British favourites. There are also beachside bars and laid-back venues for cocktails, live music or a relaxed evening drink. Nightlife in San Antonio Bay is sociable rather than full-on, though San Antonio town is close by for livelier bars, late-night venues and club transport links.

Things to do tend to centre on the sea. Boat trips run from around the bay and nearby San Antonio, including sunset cruises and excursions to beaches along the west coast. Paddleboarding, kayaking and snorkelling are popular in the calmer waters, while water taxis can be a pleasant way to get across to San Antonio when operating. If you want to explore further, Cala Bassa and Cala Conta are two well-known beaches within easy reach by road or boat.

San Antonio Bay works well for couples, groups and families who like a resort with facilities close at hand but do not want to be in Ibiza’s busiest party streets. It offers a practical base for a classic Ibiza holiday: beaches by day, sunset views in the evening and the option to dip into livelier nightlife whenever you choose.
