About Ipsos holidays

Ipsos is a long-established resort on Corfu’s east coast, around a short drive north of Corfu Town and the airport. It suits holidaymakers who want an easy, sociable base with the beach, places to eat and evening drinks all close together. The resort is spread along a coastal road, with the sea on one side and a line of cafés, bars, restaurants, small shops and accommodation on the other.

The beach at Ipsos is long and mostly shingle and pebble, with clear, generally calm water that is good for swimming. It is quite narrow in places, but its length means you can usually find a spot, especially away from the busiest sections. Sunbeds and parasols are available in parts of the beach, and there are views across the water towards the Albanian coast on clear days. Water sports and boat hire are commonly available in the area during the main summer season, making it easy to spend active days by the sea.

Ipsos has a relaxed feel during the day, with plenty of options for coffees, light lunches and traditional Greek meals. In the evening it becomes livelier, particularly in high summer, when its bars and music venues attract couples, groups of friends and younger visitors. It is not the quietest resort on Corfu, so it is best suited to travellers who like having nightlife within walking distance rather than those seeking a very secluded escape.

One of the advantages of staying in Ipsos is its location. Nearby Dassia offers another beach scene, while Barbati and the slopes of Mount Pantokrator are within reach for a change of scenery. Corfu Town is also a popular day or evening trip, with its Venetian architecture, old fortress, harbourfront and atmospheric lanes. Local buses and taxis make getting around possible without hiring a car, though a car can be useful for exploring more of northern Corfu.

Overall, Ipsos is a practical and lively Corfu resort with a good beach, straightforward facilities and easy access to some of the island’s best-known sights.
