Families often visit Cretaquarium at nearby Gournes, and Watercity Waterpark is also within easy reach. Heraklion is convenient for a day trip, with its harbour, old town, museums and access to the Palace of Knossos.

Kokkini Hani works well for a simple Crete holiday: beach time, relaxed meals, short transfers and easy day trips. It is best for travellers who prefer a practical, friendly resort atmosphere over a polished or high-energy holiday scene.
