Lambi Holidays

Lambi is a laid-back beach resort on the north-east coast of Kos, set just outside Kos Town. It suits holidaymakers who want a relaxed seaside base with the option of heading into the island’s capital for harbour views, historic sights, shops and a wider choice of places to eat and drink. The resort is sometimes also written as Lampi, and it stretches along the coast between the beach and the road leading into Kos Town.

The main draw is Lambi Beach, a long, open stretch of coastline with a mix of sand and small pebbles. The sea is usually clear, and there are organised sections with sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as quieter spots if you prefer a more low-key beach day. It can feel breezy at times, which is worth bearing in mind if you are travelling with younger children or prefer very calm swimming conditions. Beach bars and tavernas sit close by, making it easy to break up the day with lunch or a drink.

Lambi has a friendly, easy-going atmosphere rather than a busy party-resort feel. You will find restaurants serving Greek and international dishes, casual cafés, hotel bars and relaxed evening spots along the beach road and around the resort. For livelier nightlife, Kos Town is close enough for an evening out, with bars around the harbour and old town areas.

One of Lambi’s biggest advantages is its location. Kos Town can be reached by taxi, bus, bike or even on foot from some parts of the resort, depending on where you are staying. Once there, you can visit the Castle of the Knights, wander around the harbour, see ancient ruins and enjoy the old town’s lanes and squares. The Asklepieion, one of Kos’s most important archaeological sites, is also a popular trip from the area.

Lambi is a good choice if you want a straightforward Greek island holiday with beach time, simple dining, gentle evenings and easy access to Kos Town’s sights and boat trips. It works especially well for travellers who like the convenience of a resort but do not want to feel too far removed from local history and island life.
