About Faliraki holidays

Faliraki is one of Rhodes’ best-known resorts, set on the island’s north-east coast within easy reach of Rhodes Town and Lindos. It has a lively, easy-going holiday feel, with a long sandy beach, a wide choice of places to eat and drink, and enough activities to suit both relaxed beach holidays and more sociable breaks.

The main beach is a big part of the appeal. It stretches for several kilometres and has shallow, generally calm water, making it popular for swimming, sunbathing and watersports. You will find organised sections with sunbeds and beach bars, as well as quieter spots if you walk further along the shore. Just outside the centre, Anthony Quinn Bay and Ladiko Bay are among the most popular nearby swimming spots, known for clear water and rocky scenery rather than long open sand.

Faliraki’s centre is built around holiday convenience, with restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and takeaways close together. Dining is varied, from Greek tavernas serving grilled meats, seafood and meze to international options aimed at visitors. The atmosphere changes through the day: relaxed around the beach and seafront in the morning and afternoon, then busier in the evening as restaurants fill and bars open.

Nightlife is one of Faliraki’s main draws, though it is more varied than its old party-resort reputation suggests. There are lively bars and late-night venues for those who want them, but also quieter cocktail bars and family-friendly restaurants away from the busiest streets. Travellers looking for peaceful evenings may prefer accommodation set back from the main nightlife area.

Popular things to do include boat trips along the coast, watersports, mini-golf, visiting the large water park near the resort, or taking day trips to Rhodes Town’s medieval old town and the village of Lindos. Local buses and taxis make it fairly straightforward to explore more of the island without hiring a car.

Overall, Faliraki works well for UK holidaymakers who want a resort with a proper beach, plenty of food and drink choices, and good access to some of Rhodes’ best-known sights. It is especially suited to travellers who like having everything close at hand, while still being able to escape to quieter bays or historic places for the day.
