Kolymbia is a relaxed resort on the east coast of Rhodes, set between Faliraki and Lindos. Kolymbia’s dining scene is straightforward and holiday-friendly, with Greek tavernas, grill restaurants and international options. Expect local favourites such as souvlaki, grilled fish, Greek salads and meze, alongside familiar dishes for visitors who prefer something simple. Evenings tend to be unhurried, with most people dining out, enjoying a drink at a bar or staying around their hotel. Nightlife is modest, so anyone looking for clubs and a busier bar scene may prefer to visit Faliraki for an evening out.

One of Kolymbia’s advantages is its location. Rhodes Town, with its medieval Old Town, harbour and shopping streets, is reachable by car or organised excursion. Lindos is also a popular day trip, known for its whitewashed lanes and hilltop Acropolis. Closer to the resort, the Epta Piges, or Seven Springs, is a scenic inland spot with shaded paths and running water, while Tsambika Beach and Tsambika Monastery are both within easy reach.

Kolymbia is well suited to couples and families who want a peaceful Rhodes holiday with beach time, simple dining and good day-trip options. It is not the island’s liveliest resort, but that is part of its appeal for travellers looking for a comfortable, quieter base on the east coast.
